Lead Pastor

Pastor Philip J. Waite, M.Ed./M.Theo./Apol.

Pastor Phil is a licensed Southern Baptist Pastor who was called into church leadership later in life.  In 2011, he completed his second Master’s Degree, which was in Christian Theology and Apologetics from Liberty University Theological Seminary. Prior to that, Phil earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in secondary education and political science and a Master’s degree in Education from St. Francis University.  He has taught history, government, and economics classes full-time at Central High School in Martinsburg for over 21 years and continues to educate students.  He also served a combination of 16 years active duty and reserve time with the Navy Seabees. Throughout his life, Phil has traveled extensively overseas including many trips to Europe and Russia, along with Jordan, Israel, India, and Morocco.  He enjoys speaking locally and out-of-state at various veteran’s events and churches.  He continues to teach high school full-time and pastor full-time.  Pastor Phil and his wife, Julie, have three children and enjoy serving the Lord together at Target One.
